Google Unveils Imagen 3: Advancing AI Image Generation for Gemini Users

October 10, 2024

Feeling curious about what Google’s been up to lately?

They’ve just rolled out Imagen 3, a fresh and impressive AI model designed for creating high-quality images.

Now, if you’re using the Gemini platform, you’re in luck because it’s available for all of you! This announcement caught the spotlight during Google’s I/O 2024 event, and by August, it was official.

Imagen 3 takes things up a notch with improved photorealism, better understanding of what you ask it to create, and fewer glitches in what it churns out.

And here’s a nifty touch: every image comes with a SynthID watermark, a digital stamp that says, “Yep, an AI made this.”

But a heads-up—if you’re eager to create images of people, that’s currently reserved for those on the Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise plans, and only in English for now.

This feature began its journey with early access in May, but now it’s ready for prime time.

And there’s more! Google is testing something called “Ask Photos” with select users in the U.S.

This new gem is tucked inside the Google Photos app and helps you interact with your photo collection using natural language.
