Google’s New ‘Helium’ AI Plan Launches in India at a Special Price

August 14, 2025

Google is rolling out its new Helium plan, crafted especially for the Indian market. Uncovered from a recent codebase leak, this initiative promises access to advanced features like Veo 3 for video generation and Deep Research on the Gemini 2.5 Pro platform—all for a special launch price of ₹250, a neat 50% off the usual ₹500.

This move comes as competition heats up. OpenAI is testing a ChatGPT Go plan, reportedly priced at nearly half that of its Plus version, while Perplexity is also stepping up its presence in the region. With Indian consumers known for their price sensitivity and rapid tech adoption, Google’s competitive pricing could secure an early lead in the AI subscription race.

Moreover, some users have spotted a separate ChatGPT Go plan offering higher usage limits than the free version, though it isn’t available for purchase just yet. Should Helium officially launch, you can expect it to integrate smoothly into Google’s existing Gemini web and app ecosystem, delivering premium features right where you need them.

By making advanced AI tools more affordable, Google isn’t just offering a service—it’s addressing local needs and fostering a more accessible tech future.
