Artificial Intelligence (AI) is doing more than just making things run smoother—it’s sparking a revolution in how businesses operate. This was the spotlight at EXL’s recent virtual event, ‘AI in Action: Driving the Shift to Scalable AI.’ Industry leaders gathered to dive into AI’s vast potential, and let me tell you, it’s exciting stuff.
Vishal Chhibbar, EXL’s Chief Growth Officer, put it simply: ‘AI is about driving smarter decisions, improving experiences, and creating lasting value.’ When you blend AI with industry-specific knowledge, it can completely transform customer experiences, operations, and IT. At the event, EXL introduced EXLerate.AI, a state-of-the-art orchestration platform that uses industry-specific AI agents and large language models (LLMs) to simplify complex business workflows.
Rohit Kapoor, EXL’s Chairman and CEO, highlighted the platform’s design principles: seamless AI integration, a strong foundation of data and domain expertise, and an open architecture for rapid innovation. ‘It’s crafted to help enterprises unlock AI’s full potential,’ Kapoor noted. This platform uses agentic AI, which combines domain-specific logic and real-time data, offering more autonomy than traditional AI systems.
Wyatt Bennett, EXL’s AI platform product lead, showcased the platform’s capabilities. Users can customize LLMs, deploy connectors, and integrate data sources to boost AI solutions. Attendees also got a sneak peek at EXL’s AI-driven tools like Code Harbor for code migration and an Insurance LLM for claims and underwriting.
The panel discussions were enlightening. They covered how AI accelerates claims processing, improves fraud detection, and advances healthcare with better radiology scanning. Troy Williams from ISG pointed out that businesses scaling AI initiatives effectively will gain significant competitive advantages. Collaborating with experts in data and process automation can amplify these efforts.
John Kim of Zurich Australia emphasized the strategic choice between building or buying AI solutions to achieve scalability. By leveraging advancements in generative and agentic AI, companies can reimagine processes and optimize workflows, turning AI into a powerful competitive edge.
