Kingdee International Software Group is making waves in China’s software-as-a-service industry by diving headfirst into the world of artificial intelligence. They’ve integrated DeepSeek, a cutting-edge AI tool, into their services, and it’s a game-changer for businesses looking to adopt large language models without breaking the bank.
George Liu, Kingdee’s vice-president and head of research and development, describes DeepSeek as nothing short of revolutionary. “It’s open-source and accessible to all,” he says, highlighting the significant advantages it offers to both Kingdee and their clients. This strategic move puts Kingdee at the forefront of AI innovation in enterprise software.
Just last month, Kingdee introduced the Cosmic platform, a tool that lets businesses create customized AI agents using DeepSeek models. This integration is designed to tackle key areas like finance, human resources, and supply chain management, showing Kingdee’s dedication to expanding AI’s role in business.
Kingdee’s shares, listed in Hong Kong, have surged about 90% this year, reflecting investor confidence in their strategic direction. Zhang Yong, Kingdee’s president, pointed out that not all companies could previously afford to develop large AI models due to high costs. DeepSeek changes that landscape entirely.
According to Xu Shaochun, Kingdee’s founder, chairman, and CEO, the introduction of DeepSeek has “broke AI hegemony” and made Kingdee’s technology “completely self-sufficient and controllable.” This strategic AI integration not only enhances Kingdee’s offerings but also makes powerful AI tools more accessible to a wider range of businesses.
