WhatsApp is now offering a fresh tool called “Writing Help” that lets you adjust, proofread, or rephrase your messages directly within the app. Thanks to Meta’s Private Processing, your original texts remain confidential while the feature offers tailored suggestions that suit your style—whether you prefer a professional tone or a touch of humour.
If you’ve ever struggled to find the right words or tone, this feature could be a welcome addition. For example, a simple note like “Please don’t leave dirty socks on the sofa” can be transformed into playful alternatives like “Please don’t make the sofa a sock graveyard” or “Hey, sock ninja, the laundry basket is that way!” It’s all designed to help you express yourself without needing to leave your chat.
To take advantage of this capability, just tap the new pencil icon while drafting a message. Currently available in English across selected countries, Writing Help aims to keep your chats personal even as it offers a nudge towards more creative communication.
