WVU Launches Community Initiative on Generative AI in Education

August 25, 2025

West Virginia University is launching a fresh initiative focused on generative AI in education. In collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Centre, the ADVANCE Centre is opening its doors to faculty, instructors, and graduate teaching assistants from every WVU campus.

You’ll explore the ins and outs of generative AI—its ethical side and how it can spark student creativity and analytical thinking. The program runs from September to December and includes three sessions available virtually, in person, or as a hybrid, plus weekly one-hour accountability meetings.

Every participant will benefit from personalised support and enjoy a free semester-long trial of Boodlebox.ai, a platform designed to enhance educational and workforce skills. No prior experience with generative AI is needed.
