OpenAI’s Operator Now Available Across Europe and Beyond

March 14, 2025

OpenAI is making waves by expanding access to its Operator tool across Europe and other regions. If you’re in Europe, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland and are 18 or older, you can now dive into the Operator’s Research Preview at operator.chatgpt.com. This exciting feature is currently available to Pro users for $200 a month, but there’s more on the horizon. OpenAI plans to roll it out to Plus, Team, and Enterprise users after this initial phase, with hopes to integrate it directly into ChatGPT down the line.

Previously, OpenAI launched Operator in countries like Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK, but Europe and a few others were left out. Now, they’re catching up, ensuring that more of us can benefit from this innovative tool.

So, what exactly is the Operator? It’s an AI agent with the power to independently operate a web browser, opening up a world of automation possibilities. Right now, it’s a perk for ChatGPT Pro users, but OpenAI is eager to share the love with a wider audience, including those on Plus, Team, and Enterprise plans.

And there’s more good news! The Deep Research feature, which launched shortly after Operator, is now available in the European Union, boosting research capabilities for users in the region.
