ForwardX Technology Co. has just opened a cutting-edge robotics factory in Beijing, and it’s a real game-changer. This new facility, stretching over 10,000 square meters and spread across two buildings, significantly ramps up their production capabilities. From assembly to testing, they’ve got it all covered under one roof. This move highlights ForwardX’s drive for self-reliant manufacturing.
Built in 2022, the factory boasts a dedicated 4,500-square-meter area for wire harness processing. Plus, there are specialized spaces for assembling and testing smaller autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The rest of the facility focuses on larger AMR production, autonomous forklifts, software integration, and system testing. ForwardX emphasizes that this setup ensures comprehensive capabilities and complete quality control at every stage of production.
By integrating all manufacturing processes, ForwardX aims to meet the growing demand for automation solutions while keeping a tight grip on production quality. Their product lineup, featuring vision-based AMRs, is constantly expanding. Last year, they introduced the Flex 300-L Mini and Flex 300-SCB Mini. These models are designed for narrow aisles, supporting a maximum payload of 300 kg, and they come with handy features like a human-machine interface and barcode scanner.
The company’s fleet-management software is another feather in their cap, helping automate material handling across various sectors. With over 3,000 AMRs deployed in more than 150 facilities worldwide, ForwardX is recognized as Asia’s leading provider of goods-to-person mobile robots. Notably, they received the 2022 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for their 5G AMR deployment at TCL’s Huizhou factory.
ForwardX is on an ambitious global expansion journey, partnering with Greece’s VOYATZOGLOU Group. With an annual output capacity of 5,000 robots, the new facility positions the company perfectly to meet the rising global demand for advanced automation solutions. It also supports ongoing research and development efforts for future robotics innovations.
ForwardX’s team of over 250 employees, hailing from top universities and enterprises, along with a portfolio of more than 350 patents, underscores their innovative edge and commitment to quality and after-sales support.
